FAQ

1Why do I need a planner? Is it even necessary?
I cannot tell you the number of times I get calls from clients who start by telling me how much they hate planning – it is not for everyone. We’re here to make sure the day you’re dreaming of goes well, perfectly. There are so many tiny details that often get overlooked and as planners, we know the right questions to ask, the proper flow of an event, and we fix any issues that may arise! More often than not, my clients have very demanding careers and they want one less thing on their plate.
2What makes you different than all the other planners out there?
You may occasionally hear me mention the different types of planners out there, the IG planner is planners who create a vision that they want to use for marketing purposes regardless of the client’s real input. These are the planners whose focus is an IG-worthy event with a logistically disastrous event. Then there are the hobby planners who are planners who do this as a hobby (they might have planned their own and/or family members' wedding) and do not plan events full-time. This generally leads to them not having the expertise to carry out a large-scale event. These events tend to miss a lot of tiny details that can result in a poorly produced event. What sets me apart from others is my background in wedding and corporate event planning, venues, and catering which gives me insight and knowledge regarding the many elements that it takes to produce an amazing event.
3Do you do offer Month of Planning services?
First, if any planner ever says they will do simply day-of coordinating services for you – RUN! Would you want someone to show up at your wedding whom you’ve never met and try to bring your vision to life and have the same amount of care and commitment to your day as you do? At a minimum, planners should be starting the month before your wedding day if not multiple months before. This is to ensure they still have time to get to know you, and your vendors, and have enough correspondences leading up to the big day to know what’s going on. With that being said, I’m not opposed to taking on a Month-of Coordination client. However, one of the best aspects of doing what I do is getting to know the couple from the start of the planning to the day of the wedding! I will take on limited Month-Of Coordination clients in a year and I generally won’t book them earlier than 4-5 months out.
4Do you have experience planning non-traditional weddings?
Being born and raised in San Francisco, we're all about inclusivity! Just as much as we can plan a traditional wedding, we can plan a non-traditional wedding that represents both you and your partner! We have experience in bi-racial, multi-cultural, interfaith, nonbinary, and LGBTQIA+ weddings.
5Do you plan cultural weddings?
Of course! Whether you need a sofreh aghd, ketubah signing, pyebaek, money dance, door games and tea ceremony - we can include as much as your culture into the wedding as you'd like. We also love to learn about new cultural traditions so don't hesitate to share with us!
